Overview of the role The compliance officer at Tokamak Energy will ensure that all facilities equipment and shared assets present on site are inspected and serviced to relevant legal standards and manufacturer requirements. This role plays a critical role in ensuring that all our equipment is safe to use and operate, thereby contributing the safe and sustainable deployment of commercial fusion energy globally. Reporting to the Head of Site Infrastructure Services Manager you will work closely with all operational departments, the environment, health and safety team and quality to ensure our requirements are fully understood, communicated and are being completed in a timely manner. In this role, you will: Ensure that all facilities equipment and shared assets are inspected and serviced in line with legal and manufacturer requirements Manage the database of these assets, ensuring that all records are current and up to date allowing Tokamak Energy to demonstrate compliance Manage the relationships with key suppliers who conduct maintenance and inspection works as well as ensuring their performance Work with the business to manage availability and down time of equipment in line with the operational programmes Work with the business to ensure suitability of storage areas for shared equipment (e.g. lifting equipment, ladders, scissor lifts, forklift trucks) Manging the day-to-day requirements of the waste contracts Hazard-specific / Safety-critical duties This job includes the following hazards or safety-critical activities which will require successful pre-employment health screening through our occupational health service before the successful candidate will be allowed to start work: Limited requirement to drive on company business Occasional manual handling Requirements and attributes we value: Qualifications in facilities management Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, in particular FM relevant regulations (e.g. LOLER, gas safety) Diligent with a keen attention to detail Excellent timekeeping, scheduling and prioritisation skills Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook) with experience of compliance management software beneficial Interpersonal skills allowing effective communication with internal customers Contract negotiation and supplier performance management Sound problem-solving skills and a willingness to be available after-hours when require Benefits 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Company pension scheme Eligible for company share option scheme Company bonus scheme, discretionary, dependant on performance Private medical insurance after 3 months service Cycle to work scheme No terminology in the advert or job description is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a person s gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
