You will be responsible for partnering and influencing sales compensation design for sales colleagues spanning 24 countries. This role is also responsible for supporting all compensation-related matters for their business unit with a heavy emphasis on sales compensation design, administration, and global analysis of our sales programs. This position is at the nexus of helping Western Union unleash more effective sales performance. The successful candidate will be a progressive thought leader and innovator in the sales incentive programs who has a clear record of success influencing senior-level leaders on new ideas to revamp/enhance and simplify incentive compensation programs. This individual will need to understand the Company’s business goals and objectives to develop sales incentive programs that result in sales performance and behaviors aimed at achieving those goals. This role is based in Denver, reports to the Head of Global Compensation and Recognition, and will work closely with regional compensation leaders worldwide. This position acts as a functional advisor and will partner with the HR business partners and business leaders in various regions to develop and implement system-wide sales compensation programs under the guidance of the overall company philosophy.For such a critical role, Bachelor’s degree education or equivalent experience is required. CCP or GRP certification would be strongly preferred. Minimum of ten to twelve years of progressively increasing Sales Compensation design and operations, General Compensation, and management experience. Minimum of five years’ experience with sales compensation design and administration of global programs in a larger corporation; prior experience in an actual sales role, business leadership, sales operations positions, and/or finance experience preferred. Demonstrated consultative skills and expertise in influencing business leaders and leveraging data to influence compensation plan design decisions that deliver business outcomes. Must have a history of being a strategic partner to the business with the ability to adapt to an evolving growth company. Strong history of driving operational discipline and improvements to support business strategy, ideally having participated in organizational transformation efforts, including enterprise solution sales compensation plans. Experience modeling data using predictive analytics, forecasting, regression testing, etc. Minimum of eight years of experience leading local and virtual employees. Proven strong project management experience with full project life cycle knowledge, including business process design, documentation, execution, and change management.
