:Solid understanding and experience in Lean Manufacturing. Excellent problem-solving skills to perform job duties independently and make decisions that meet departmental goals and objectives. Project management and leadership skills to lead, manage, and prioritize issues for a broad range of processes, teams, and/or skill areas or a large group of employees. PROFICIENT with MRP and SAP systems. Supervises daily activities of the Materials departments Team Leaders and Material Handler. Plans, directs, and coordinates the movement of material within the receiving, shop floor, and shipping areas. Assist the materials manager in manpower requirements. Assist in managing material cycle counts and annual physical inventory reconciliation. Leads process improvement projects; productivity, quality, ergonomics, material delivery routes, plant moves, etc. Trains employees on their job duties and responsibilities, cross trains as necessary.Adhere to 5s processes within the receiving, storage, and shipping areas. Track Shelf life on MRO products, and work with purchasing to maintain. Coordinate maintenance schedule of all Hi-LO and other material movement devices.Minimum Requirements:2+ years of supervisor experience.Supervisory/ progressive experience.Strong leadership skills, and ability to develop a strong team culture.Warehouse, shipping, transportation/distribution preferred.Strong communication skills will deal with all levels/departments.Strong knowledge of safety standards and OSHA laws and LEAN MAND understanding.
