Our Offer Capgemini Engineering is looking for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Consultants to join our rapidly growing team to support our UK and overseas clients across variety of industries including defence and aerospace. Our portfolio of projects includes work at all stages of the system lifecycle, from concept definition to in-service support. As well as directly supporting MBSE tasks for our clients, we also offer consultancy services to improve organisation s Systems Engineering & MBSE capabilities and enable digital transformation. We ensure that we are offering good practice, taking into account both established and emerging technologies and techniques, adopting latest toolsets and frameworks, supplemented by techniques such as mathematical simulation, digital visualisation and our own REVEAL Requirements Engineering Framework to enhance MBSE and Digital Engineering solutions delivered to our clients. Capgemini operate a hybrid working model with a combination of office and home-based working, along with occasional travel to client sites. Your Role As an MBSE consultant within Capgemini, you will be working alongside some of the top experts in the country, on some of the largest and most complex client engagements across a variety of industry sectors. You will be given the opportunity to grow and take on responsibility from day one in a challenging but rewarding and meritocratic environment. We are looking for consultants at all levels. This is an excellent opportunity for junior consultants to get involved in hands on MBSE tasks, learn from industry experts and grow within the team. For the more senior consultants, there are opportunities to take lead in large scale digital transformation projects for our clients, and/or focus on growing our team capability. There are roles covering both the hands-on/technical and capability development aspects of MBSE. The right candidate will quickly rise to senior positions on projects and within the practice. You may be involved in the following: Developing MBSE transformation initiatives for complex organisations involving people, processes and tools. Consulting with stakeholders to elicit and manage their MBSE capability needs and define requirements. Communicating the underlying principles of MBSE to a broad range of stakeholders. Introducing and promoting MBSE capabilities in organisations at various levels of MBSE maturity across a variety of industries. Providing technical leadership and authoritative advice in adoption of MBSE approach. Proposing MBSE solutions to address client s needs. Supporting live systems engineering projects in adoption of MBSE based on client needs. Developing and configuring MBSE toolsets, setting up projects, establishing traceability between artefacts, assisting with toolset integration. Contribute to successful delivery of desired outcomes and growth of the account. Contribute to the team capability development, share knowledge and expertise with the rest of the MBSE team. Knowledge capitalisation, support and mentoring of more junior members of the team. Our consultants work within Capgemini teams, and as their expertise grows, with an increasing degree of autonomy to directly support our clients. Our more senior consultants are expected to contribute significantly to sales support, the improvement of Capgemini Engineering s systems engineering capability, and to networking across the systems engineering community to develop their reputation as experts in their chosen field. Your Profile Essential Engineering or science related degree. Experience with industry-standard systems engineering processes, in particular the early lifecycle stages. Experience in using MBSE tool(s) such as Cameo System Modeler, Rhapsody, Capella. Experience with MBSE framework like Magic Grid, Harmony, Arcadia, CESAM, OOSEM, SYSMOD, CORE. Experience in developing, maintaining and using an MBSE model. Experience in the adoption of SysML modelling language, industry standard MBSE frameworks and tools in an engineering project. Desirable Experience of working in the defence and aerospace industries. Experience of working in an engineering context (mechanical, electrical, software, systems). Systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management and system design process (including system and sub-system specification) and product validation and verification. Experience in using requirements management tools such as DOORS or DOORS NG. Experience in using Model Based Design tools such as Matlab and Simulink. Experience in adoption of enterprise architecture frameworks & languages such as UAF, TOGAF, Archimate. Experience in integration of requirements management tools and processes with the MBSE approach. Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to support client needs. Effective oral and written communication as well as influencing and stakeholder management skills. Professional SE certification from an organisation such as INCOSE, or the desire to work towards it.
