Assystem are recruiting for a Company Security Controller to support our business across all sites in the UK. As Security Controller you will be responsible for all aspects of security for the Assystem business in the UK including physical, personnel and project information. Reporting directly into the UK board you will cover 8 UK sites with occasional travel to those sites to support audits, maintain accreditation requirements and provide project support. Key Accountabilities: Ensure all access to sensitive assets are recorded and controlled, to meet the requirements of the 'need-to-know' principle. Develop, maintain and monitor policies and procedures so that the business remains compliant with current security guidelines and legislation. Manage and maintain our current security accreditations. Ensure the business attains and works in accordance with the Industry Personnel Security Assurance (IPSA) Personnel reliability framework. Manage the Vetting Team to ensure the correct levels of clearances are obtained in accordance with customer contracts and site requirements. Ensure employees remain compliant with the conditions of their security clearance obligations via the appropriate aftercare process. Be competent in incident management and investigations and advising on risks. Build strong relationships with contracting authorities, customer security personnel and internal stakeholders. Manage and administer customer Security Aspects Letters and flow down to supply chain. Undertake security training and awareness initiatives. Be able to multi-task and prioritise workload in an agile working environment. Assist in the planning for any new offices or relocations to ensure security needs are met. To be successful in this role you will have good experience and working knowledge of Government Functional Standard GovS007 and the Security Policy Framework, and understand what is needed to maintain the company's security accreditations for working with the defence and civil nuclear industries. You should be confident in developing and maintaining a strong security position for the business and should be proficient in undertaking security risk assessments. You will also hold or be able to obtain full Security Clearance
